I have both and I have to say that amethyst leaves me cold - I find the interface a little clunky and non-intuitive. Iโm using primal on iPhone as my main gateway to nostr - itโs really good

Not neccessarily. You can #degoogle a lot of Samsungs, Oneplus, Xiaomi and all Pixel devices.
Or you can buy The phones with alternative Android ROMs already installed on them if you don't want to do the nerdy stuff of flashing it yourself.

The only viable systems right now are Graphene, Calyx and Lineage--anyone still using iPhone (or Google phone) at this point in time really should rethink their strategy.
You can't say "I embrace decentralization" and then use an iPhone...
