So, I'm about to spend 10 hours debugging a crypto library that I know has no bugs, but it's the only way to learn how to use it properly because interoperability in the crypto world is an afterthought so nothing is documented. When I'm done I'll try to add compatibility notes or at least an easily indexable GitHub issue for the next schmuck that comes across this.
Found it. This library handles the IV differently, not adding some data all other libraries do.
