Hit up Dave and/or Adam if you take issue to the assertion, I am not here to defend the words of others. But the compromised part IMO is about the guy who oversaw the start of mass censoring on twitter, and is now throwing money around making people conveniently forget his complicity with government censoring. Its not about someone making a client if they choose, its about people taking money from someone who has factually been compromised by government agencies yet acting like none of that ever happened.
