Going to Thailand for a month next year, what are some non negotiable stops? I’m looking to spend most of my time away from crowds and on the islands.

I would ideally like to spend most of my away from crowds. However I would like to spend a few days in Chiang Mai, Bangkok and wrap up the trip in Phuket.
