Autonomous ergochair 2. Great chair. Lots of settings to adjust. Not sure if they still sell the exact model. I think closest one now would be ergochair pro
very nice but +700€ isn't in the budget atm 😢
Oh wow it’s way more expensive in Europe. I think I paid roughly 450 CAD a few years ago, so 300 euros
WOW. €574.80 is the cheapest I see on their German site.
I’m trying to see where they’re located. Maybe it’s shipping costs from North America that’s blowing up the prices
Headquarters are in New York City. Maybe that’s why it’s so expensive in Europe 🤷🏾
That, and that juicy European sales tax of 20+% surely.
Absolutely. VAT, shipping and if from a non-EU member country, import tax.
Your purchasing power is halved if we look at that chair as an example. And wages must be similar to North America… Terrible
True story and the € alone has lost 12% purchase power in the last 11 months. Bitcoin gained 100% purchase power in the same time 😉
Lucky for us, there’s #bitcoin 😁
Wages will vary wildly depending on which Euro country you're taking about. In Spain someone earning a very good salary in Madrid or Barcelona makes about half an OK (not Manhattan, not Palo Alto) US salary. To put in numbers, a pre-tax salary of €40k is considered very good. And then the government takes half of it.
I misspoke. I meant the wages must have stayed roughly the same over the last few years. Just like in N.A.
They did go up immediately after covid, but me personally haven't had a raise in two years. My wife had a tiny one last year. This year nothing, and they've already told her next year she will get twice as much (so twice nothing).
At least the universal income (Bürgergeld) is being inflation adjusted in January. Makes you wonder why work if you can get more by staying at home scratching your balls?
My wage fluctuates a lot because I've been living on and from Bitcoin for the most part of the last 12 years. Even in Spain I mostly worked during the season (lots of hours) and just lived my quiet life off-season. But overall wags haven't seen much inflation adjustment since 2020 and my cost of living in Germany is about 3x more expensive than it was in Spain. For example, I'm now paying over €400 for a small apartment in Germany (was lucky actually getting one) compared to paying the same amount for a two story house in Spain.
This is very true. Though the EU was aiming at bringing every member country to an "equal economic standard" they haven't really succeeded with that in the last 25 years. In average yo still earn 25% less in Spain compared to the same job in Germany but the cost of living is also dramatically lower. For me Spain was the perfect country to live my Bitcoiner live, Germany not so much.
Eventually I'll move back once I'm not needed here any longer.
The median income in Spain (2021 PPP intl $) is $11,800, while in Germany it's $16,900. That's a massive difference that, I assure you, does not make up for the hypothetical difference in cost of living.
We can't really say that the EU has failed in smoothing out the income differences between regions because in reality it was never designed to do that.
Yes, the bureaucracy pays lip service to that, but the actual institutional structure is not design to do that, but to subsidize corrupt politicians and their cronies in the South (and for the last couple of decades, the East), in exchange for a free market and cheap labor for German industrial exporters and of course, the German central bank (currently called "European Central Bank").
The useless, largely unsupervised subsidies are grossly and corruptly misused to capture votes and create crony networks while propping up inefficient, detrimental zombie sectors, keeping the recipient countries undeveloped and increasingly deindustrialized.
The main culprit historically speaking was France, of course, who sought to repeat another Treaty of Versailles of sorts making the Germans pay for its completely bloated agricultural and industrial sectors for decades. Then Germany wised up and decided to improve the deal getting cheap labor and large markets with the successive enlargements. Can't blame them at all for doing it.
The only way it could have ever worked out would have been without all those billions and billions of subsidies, letting every country compete and get better. But it was never about it.
I wonder how long the German people will tolerate abject poverty THIS time?
As long as they're told 🐑
Exactly what I was going to say. The same applies to the whole of Europe. They will all own nothing and love it, and ask for a double serving of ze bugs to go.
We're watching the creation of programmable people through programmable money and Bürgergeld is just a test run. Give people free money, make them fully dependant on the state, introduce CBDC... tell them to go work at X,Y,Z or their free money will expire after the weekend.
I completely agree with you on the discrepancies in income and cost of living and no, cheaper rent doesn't make up for the difference. Having to be in Germany also affects my way of life a lot that's why I had to get a job and had to opt for an apartment (not that you can really choose the place you want to live in with 50-200 applicants per place) or it would demolish my stack in ⚡ speed.
For me project EU has failed. Like, 10 years ago but it has become very obvious in the last three years. Brussel doesn't Govern FOR the European people. Quite the opposite at this point.
Did you know, that like at least 95% of "gaming chairs" are pretty much the same, except the colours & brand name change?
Even when the price drastically is different, these are all still the same shitty 99$ chairs from China.
& yes, the chair on the picture is the one I'm talking about. No matter, where you buy from & which brand, it's pretty much always this chair model.
Agreed, most look more or less the same. Doesn't have to be a gaming chair, a comfortable office chair works too but not above 200-300€. Don't have that much fiat spare.
If you really want to have a good chair, not a "gaming chair" you should look up a truly ergonomic chair, that legitimately costs at least a 1000 bucks & you're good to go.
Otherwise, spending money on "gaming chairs" is the same as falling for a Nigerian prince, who happens to be your cousin.
😂
just use any fucking chair you fucking retards. i use a chair from the garbage with my $10,000 PC.
and i removed the back and sides of this chair as well because i have no use for them.
and i'm the guy who wrote tutorials on how to design multi-thousand-dollar custom DIY latex mattresses.
chairs are a scam you cretins !
I got the Omega from secretlab.co.uk and personally think it’s great
Looking great but a little to steep price wise atm.
Understandable, I bought this one in 2021 for £304 and so it’s now 25% more expensive
