Everybody's skeptical when I say we need to get rid of the patent system that's secured only by the state's monopoly on violence. They're like, but we won't have drugs! My response is, of course you will, in a free market, if there is demand, supply will come to meet demand, so long as suppliers are allowed produce and innovate free of state interference. High drug prices are a consequence of cronyism, not of capitalism.

One only need to look at the arbitrarily illegal drug market. Even with life ruining pentalities, the market always supplies the need.
