Looking at history and pre-history, the invention of WRITING seems irrelevant for information accumulation compared to today. But the invention of #press by Gutenberg in 1442 makes a big difference. This suggests all #content accumulated has huge overlaps.

The invention of #computer around 1960 increases the pace of #information ACCUMULATION but the availability of commercial #internet around 1993 is the one true INFLECTION point.
