The Chung episode is hilarious. After all, anyone could desire a position of power, but Selina represents a person whose sole interest is power plays, never any responsibility for her role. And JLD is a great comedy actor 😘
Even though I was unfamiliar with Washington politics and missed many contextual details from Veep’s comedy script, I was still able to grasp JLD’s clear emphasis on when to laugh, particularly during her delivery of empty, feel-good nonsense lines typical of a typical politician. This is precisely why I adore Veep and, of course, JLD herself. 
I believe such a clear emphasis can only be conveyed if all the writers, producers, and actors have a clear understanding of their roles. So I kinda envied Americans for their renowned production companies, such as HBO.
If I ever share my dream, it’s to build a high-quality comedy production studio, similar to HBO.... 🥺💕
