I used to find reasons for not taking a task to completion for it had dependencies. I was pointing fingers. Even if it’s a real blocker, I was more reluctant n not taking ownership & pushing the ball to their court

Also as a fresher I was not aware how I shud work. How things shud b handled. Gradually as the experience increased I understood how to handle things. There’s tat part too.

My former lead used to tel me
1. Take ownership
2. Take it to completion
3. Do whatever it takes to complete the activity.
4. Take initiative to do whatever it takes to move it to completion.
5. Whatever blockers, handle it, communicate it, escalate, delegate it.

Whatever it takes, do it. Don’t just sit on & relax by putting the ball on their court. Follow up with them, push them to finish it.
