There has always been senseless violence in the world. We just didn't have it live-streaming onto our phones all day, before, demanding that SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING.

yes, you make a point... actually you should rationally say: does it affect me? no then ok; yes how can i change it or where do i have to go.
