There was a mention of “composable moderation tooling” on bluesky… got me thinking.

Would love to see a client implement a short-list of filter parameters to limit what you see in the app, which would be customizable via settings in the settings. The three that come to mind immediately are:

- hops - a number of degrees of separation via follows

- block threshold - a user disappears if blocked by x number of your follows

- report threshold - same as above but for reports

This should be optional and customizable. It would keep the algorithm transparent, but allow users to start to moderate their own feeds in a powerful way. A major win IMO.

Has any client already put this together or is planning on implementing shortly?
