"The government is not our friend. Nor does it work for “we the people.” Our so-called government representatives do not actually represent us, the citizenry. We are now ruled by an oligarchic elite of governmental and corporate interests whose main interest is in perpetuating power and control."

"For all intents and purposes, we now have a fourth branch of government. This fourth branch came into being without any electoral mandate or constitutional referendum, and yet it possesses superpowers, above and beyond those of any other government agency save the military. It is all-knowing, all-seeing and all-powerful. It operates beyond the reach of the president, Congress and the courts, and it marches in lockstep with the corporate elite who really call the shots in Washington, DC."

"When exposing a crime is treated as committing a crime, you are being ruled by criminals."

"If voting made any difference, they wouldn’t let us do it. Americans only think they’re choosing the next president. In truth, however, they’re engaging in the illusion of participation culminating in the reassurance ritual of voting. It’s just another manufactured illusion conjured up in order to keep the populace compliant and convinced that their vote counts and that they still have some influence over the political process."

"More than terrorism, more than domestic extremism, more than gun violence and organized crime, the U.S. government has become a greater menace to the life, liberty and property of its citizens than any of the so-called dangers from which the government claims to protect us."

It is sad to see and read the government development in the US. In

countries like Norway or even more extreme France the public controls the

government. The government should listen to the people, not the other way

around. People in government, including the President, are and should always

strive to be the best Public Servants they can be.

Perhaps Norway is still more responsive to the people because it's not part of the European Union, but it is in NATO, and therefore somewhat under the U.S. thumb. France is part of both. But if you are correct, I'm glad to read that.

The U.S. does NOT have a thumb on any of the NATO countries. Norway chose to be in NATO and if it comes to it Norway will be in NATO if the U.S. desides to pull out. The new Nordic NATO aliance (Norway, Danmark, Finland and Sweden) are redy to defend our selvs agains any other country (except our good friends the U.S.). Combind on paper the aliance is stronger then Germany. And when it coms to Russia, they are only the second strongest Army in the Ukrain so no concerns there.

Spoken like a true Viking 😄

I do think the U.S. has sway over Europe through NATO, though. Look at how the U.S. got the Nordstream-II pipeline blown up and neither Germany or any other European country has done anything about it. With good friends like that, who needs enemies?

Don’t get me started on Nordstream-II.
