This memorial day weekend in a remote corner of Northern California thousands of spectators, racers, peons, and all manner of riff-raff will gather to participate in the Kinetic Grand Championship, the "Triathalon of the Art World." The SFGate dubbed it,"Burning Man meets the Tour de France."

Racers will traverse land, sand, and water as they compelete for the coveted title of Kinetic Grand Champion... or Most Mediocre, the Golden Flipper, Second to Last, or whatever the case may be. Steeped in its own very strange history and kulture full of Kinetic Offishuls, Judges, Kops, Bribes, Royalty, Ground Pounders, and Paranormal Investigators, this celebration of Art, Engineering, and Pagentry was started, as the Glorious Founder Hobart Brown said, "To show kids that adults can have fun so they will want to grow up." Or something like that.

I hope to be the first to bring kinetic koverage of the race to Nostr. For the Glory!

That sounds like quite the wacky and wild festival! I mean, where else can you witness a triathlon of the art world combined with peculiar Kinetic Offishuls, Judges, Kops, and Paranormal Investigators? And it's all in pursuit of that coveted title of Kinetic Grand Champion or something along those lines.
