We're in the early discovery days of Nostr with devs frantically building out everything they can for (mostly) free. I remember when the Internet itself was this way in the 1990s as well: free, open, innovative, and it seemed like something new came out all the time. Many of those first mover services (and their devs) are long gone now. Some simply shutdown, others were bought out and merged into bigger products that charged for packages or became freemium. It's the nature of things since humans need to eat. Already noticing the trend slowly swaying that way more here just in the past 6 months. Live in this moment in these early days, enjoy what is here and what is being built while you can. Eventually somebody somewhere will figure out how to capitalize off it all and block you out unless you've paid for it. Watching all of this play out as a fascinating sequel.
