I consistently seem to be the only person on nostr talking about the fact that the COVID pandemic isn't over.
When I was on nostr with a different npub a year ago, I was the only person.
When I came back with this npub, I started searching the word "pandemic" every week or so and digging through all the results. There were 0 nostr users saying the pandemic wasn't over. There was a nonzero number of mastodon users with their posts showing up on nostr saying the pandemic wasn't over.
Most of it has been spam bots flooding the search results with propaganda links via RSS feeds and mastodon accounts. There are now too many of these spam posts to dig through. It would be too labor-intensive to keep up anymore. Still, when I do my searches and dig through as many results as I can, the few blips of pandemic awareness come from Mastodon.
What the fuck is going on? Are there other people being censored on nostr, not showing up in my search results, meaning I'm just the first one smart and lucky enough to start establishing a presence and push through the censorship? Or is there some clever group perception management going on here where my posts don't load for most people but they load for me and enough people to stop me from noticing? Or am I the only adult human with internet access in an anglosphere full of insane children too busy with herd mentality to finish developing individual worldviews?
TLDR - pandemic deniers, please stop. Mastodon users and other free speech deniers, please stop. Any adults out there other than me, please show up ffs.
