App yes, but it's a protocol. There are web clients and android apps as well

Stay. An app ban on Nostr is like a browser being banned from the internet. There are many others if that happens and you can use the same account to login.

Yes! Sounding like Damus will still be around, but may have to tweak the way it handles zaps.

Damus can be banned, but Nostr can't because it's decentralized and you can just install or run a new client. Many of them exist! Welcome!
