I love using my dSLR as a "better mobile camera" thanks to its automatic low-res photo sync via bluetooth. Also because the mobile camera is barely acceptable on good days. It is quick enough that i remember to share the photos.

Settings: Aperture priority mode, default at f/8. ISO at 640. Single point continuous auto focus triggered by thumb. Auto white balance. JPEG or RAW+JPEG based on importance or ambient light.
