Because it's either just people talking about the same shit all the time, plus endless toxic doom scrolling, and even some of my favorite so-called anarcho-liberty freedom loving Twitter folks have made themselves busy spreading & reacting to the negativity and politics, and/or started monetizing their accounts to where they make money by engagement farming or dragging themselves down to the level of the offenders of the worst social media behavior, and I got tired of it.

More to the point your question, I found nostr in September and didn't really miss Twitter much after that.

Bro I literally had been on twitter since 2007 so I gave it more chances than most people. lol

It's not for everyone, but I always maintained that I'd never use anything else because I would rather be where most people where and that was true if you don't count FB (which I wasn't really using much between 2008-2012 so I logged out for ages, then finally deleted in 2018)

But finding nostr changed that for me. There's still some trash here, but it's fewer and farther between.
