Logged out of plebstr - then deleted the app - then rebooted my phone. Tried to add a relay - same issue as before. 🤷‍♂️

plebstr corrupts contact lists and breaks accounts in damus. I will have to add a fix for this.
They should fix it. Not you, Will. Assuming other clients will have same issue.
The main issue is that they are deleting the contact list content. They should not be doing this. I should still handle empty relay lists though… seems to be common. Many new clients don’t use the contact relay list thing anymore.
Had my following list truncated by a client this past weekend. Discovered that the most likely reason was that I followed someone and the client (not Damus) sent out a kind 3 with a single “p” tag for the new follow. Looking into it I noticed that Damus and most other clients include a list of relays in the content for kind 3 events. But some don’t.
I planned to keep digging, but this sounds similar if not related.
Lessons Learned - for now on I will only test other clients with a test key pair….. ‼️
