Still hesitating about opening an #Alby #Hub and purchasing a self-custodial Lightning channel for Bitcoin. There are other cheaper alternatives to consider. For instance, Wallet of Satoshi (#wos) or #Coinos and #npub.cash.

These options don’t require any installation, their sign-up processes are incredibly easy, and their #Nostr integration works well since they’re NWC-ready. However, they don’t seem to work smoothly with Primal.

That said, I’ve noticed that several features on Primal aren’t performing well right now. Simple things, like displaying images or publishing a note, don’t seem to work.

Could it be that there are just too many people using the service at the moment?

Fortunately, Nostr offers web-client alternatives like #Nostrudel or ditto.pub, which are solid options.

The situation with #Primal is particularly frustrating, especially now that they’ve started charging for their #premium service. It seems like other Nostr services might follow suit—taking #Alby’s lead once they realize they have a substantial user base.
