What's fiatjeffs beef with lightning? Is lightning indefinitely just as
safe as the base layer ?
Have the PWA on my iPhone. Works flawlessly so far. Transferred 100k sats mainchain and then opened a lightning channel with it.
Monthly lightning invoices auto generation for subscription renewals should be common in our near future.
Which is best wallet for lighting network?
Many different ones to try as each person will have their own criteria. Probably best to start with knowing if you want a custodial or noncustodial.

Personally, for custodial LN, I like Wallet of Satoshi. Sets up fast and is easy to operate in under a minute. Be sure to setup with your email for backup and restore to use on any device.
Non -Custodial
Phoenix Wallet (by ACINQ) is a lightning node in your pocket. They have a beta out now for their next generation that may be worth waiting. Their current version is good too, but this next version aims for 1 channel to ever be created.
Breez , but haven’t spent enough time with it yet.
I’m also testing Mutiny, which uses HTTPS, that operates within any browser. It is in Beta, so wouldn’t recommend yet as your first choice.

I dont want speak directly to mutiny i have seen this before therefore is not related to mutiny just want to say people must be very brave to put money in any service that is still in beta and without knowing who is behind from that service.
