Yes. AI can be used to act on imagination, or as a replacement for it. It must be used judiciously.

I've found uses
Helping me formulate command lines for Linux terminal applications. Very useful, I can name the app and describe in regular language what I want. It will give me the command, and explain every option.
Replacing my need for stock images. I like making memes and Photoshoops. Instead of hunting for a stock image I can prompt exactly what I need then edit from there.
