This is something that Bitcoiners like to give Ethereum shit for, but our most popular Layer 2 is just as centralized.

Isn't this statistics reflecting only "clearnet only" + "clearnet + darknet" type of nodes? There are much more "darknet only" nodes: https://mempool.space/graphs/lightning/nodes-networks

There are more darknet nodes, but they only account for 3.4% of the liquidity.

That's a fair point though, and one that escaped me until you pointed it out.

Plus we don't know that the darknet nodes have a different hosting pattern. 50% or more of those could be on AWS/GCP too.
