It bothers me as a longtime journalist that Harris-Walz are not doing press conferences, which -- when all the parties are acting with integrity -- serve a genuinely useful purpose.

But political journalists have so thoroughly discredited themselves when these spectacles do occur that I can't argue with the candidates' decision to say no thanks.
