Canada has about 7% of hash rate

US has about 40%

If Canada became part of US that would be very bad for decentralization of the network imagine if US nationalized all mining after Canada joined. The US gov would control about 47% of global hashrate. Not good.

USA Hashrate is spread out among many state jurisdictions and private ownership structures. It’s fine. Best thing that ever happened for bitcoin was hashrate migrating from China to Texas in 2021

Yes currently let’s hope it stays that way. You don’t think it’s possible for the US gov to nationalize mining “because it’s a national security issue” or some other “emergency”.

No.

Ha ok maybe I’ve read too many books like Atlas Shrugged and Mandibles 😆

But what makes you so confident?

Def. not good

It'll take a big movement to get away from mining centralization

Bitcoin's default incentives got us here, it'll take new incentives to get us out imo
