I think stablecoins are relevant and are useful to many people but I think it's clear that the name may be misleading

I’m a bit ignorant of the use cases of stablecoins tbh, are you using them in Argentina for commerce? Or to hold value moving in and out of bitcoin?

for those that live in countries that have no currency, then stablecoins are useful instead of using cash to move money around.. especially cross border.. especially to escape from government's hands.

Then there are other people that use it in Defi as Stablecoins are key for DeFi but I don't do much of it

Yes, I think it’s better to call these things instead of “stable coins” to call them “Digital money market funds.” It’s essentially what they are.

When we have full hyperbitcoinization, this will not be an issue and you will just send bitcoin.

They're flawed from the start IMO. There's just no way to tokenize currencies without counterparty risk.

I've said it before and I'll continue to say it: if I have to trust someone I don't want it.
