Dear #fedibrain

I have an #electronics question for you.

Let's say i have two identical power supplies of 12V DC/3A.

If i join them in series, would i not be able to get +12V, GND and -12V out? This would make a very easy DIY #Eurorack power supply, but seems to easy to be true.

Following the same logic, i would get 24V by joining them in parallel, no?

Thanks,

9Vbob :noise:

Ps. what about the ampere? what would happen there? i'm so confused.

Series will give you 24 parallel will give you 12 with double amps
