Born in 1568 in Macedonia, Joseph entered monastic life early. Known for his humility and dedication to prayer, he became the Metropolitan of Timișoara. He rebuilt the Partoș Monastery, which had been devastated by Ottoman raids, and dedicated his life to serving the poor and healing the sick. Even after death, many miracles are attributed to him, with people being cured by praying at his relics.
