What you saw is the “Open Your First Channel” route. I guess it’s meant to make it easy for newbies to get started (I’m not sure who the channel peer is in this scenario).

Either way, it looks like the channel had to have been opened during high fees, because that is a lot of sats. Hopefully they can add some sort of warning when the amount to open a channel is extremely high due to the network.

There’s another part of the hub that I consider more advanced — you can choose the channel size you want as well as the channel peer. This route seems to be more reasonable (see screenshots).
