In response to Iran's latest attempts to seize commercial ships in the area of responsibility of CENTCOM, in addition to the latest reinforcements that include F-16 and F-35 aircraft, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin ordered the deployment of an amphibious unit, a missile ship and other vessels with US marines.
