Auditability
Discussion
Who cares if you only use it for private transactions? Again I’m not implying Monero is better for hodling or anything other than private transactions. So people hate it because you can’t audit it? Kind of the point of it. You don’t want your Monero to be audited because how would you have privacy then?
If bitcoin base layer was private it would be less auditable
Ppl don’t like monero because it’s not bitcoin
Exactly im not arguing it is better in any way other than privacy. Bitcoin needs to be auditable so we have that undeniable hard cap. Which is genius, absolute scarcity is one of bitcoins best qualities of many. But because of this privacy sucks.
Most things in life aren’t bitcoin tho so can only like bitcoin? So absolute this type of thinking.
you can have cryptographic proof of supply without perfect transparency.
i agree that its good BTC is transparent.
but basically only because nobody would ever trust the very first cryptocurrency if it wasn't.
You can also have inflation bugs that go unnoticed for years
oh yeah?
explain how you get supply inflation when the inputs and outputs of every tx are zero.
No
sweet
nice talking to you moron
Cope you larp
durrr
i know monero is bad but cant explain why

when was the last time you personally audited the Bitcoin supply?
I'm guessing never.
so do you really think you understand the trust tradeoffs you are making?
