The community is only a community if they stand for each other. Otherwise whoever comes to defend you from the outside becomes your master. There are whole treatises written about the dangers of using mercenary strength for defense. the TLDR is dont if you dont have to because they sometimes just stay when the battle is done. Better to call on you community until there is no other option.
