#safebox allows users to not just distribute funds across nostr relays but access and share encrypted personal data.
The idea is that an nsec is sovereign to sign encrypted data to relays and access or share that data with other nsecs you have authenticated as being allowed to access that data.
Just like with the wallet users can tap the nfc card to log in to any browser to access. Review, change or share that data to other safebox users, logout and hold nothing on device.
The key feature here is that the data is distributed across nostr relays and not on the device. There is nothing to steal and nothing to access on the device. An easy to remember phrase gains access from anywhere with a browser.
This allows users to create their own sovereign digital id. Users are in charge of creating, authenticating and sharing data with others. You are in charge of who the encrypted data is shared with over nostr relays.
For example if you went to the doctor, you can create credentials, share them to Doc's safebox, authenticate him, have the prescriprion shared from his safebox to your safebox and not over email or centralized servers. Then when you go to the pharmacy, you could authenticate their safebox, and share the prescription to them via safebox. They could then verify you have it.
You control who and how the information is shared and they can prove you got it all encrypted over nostr relays.
Here is the screenshots of a basic workflow between two safebox clients on different devices sharing data, authentication and verification of a credential between eachother.
