~8million Sats = your received - sent

You are the example because I dont know of another account that is such popular and good original content. If it wasnt for all the 1 sat zaps I am sure it would be a more impressive # of sats and would entice others to create here. (Maybe other creators have many more than you idk).

You are right about 1 sat zap 'weeds', but i think many have barely any sats in savings. I place my money on many more nostr users wish they could afford lots of big zaps for some of the content here, but it just isn't the case. A zap imo, even of a single sat, shows that you are creating content that is appreciated, albeit with very little value back.

Or are 1 sat zaps just for trolling?

I stick with a default of 50 as someone with a few million sats in savings. I dont 'like' any notes, it is zap or move on. I enjoy the freedom to custom zap at leisure, and am glad the apps do not have a set minimum built in. If you are not appreciating all zaps, then you are thinking to much in fiat.

There will only ever be less than 2,100,000,000,000,000 satoshis and all zaps are in there.

Dont put too much stock in public zap stats, especially with users who have been on here a while, unless you also believe nostr:nprofile1qqs9kqvr4dkruv3t7n2pc6e6a7v9v2s5fprmwjv4gde8c4fe5y29v0spzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgqg5waehxw309aex2mrp0yhxuur4vghxyctje97k4k has actually been zapped more than 25 whole coins 😂

Hey Corn, just cause your memes are not QW quality don't mean you can disregard public stats

🤣 Old school zap battles, self zapping “for testing purposes”, and other zap shenanigans make us all look a lot better off than we are. lol

Of course, so the amounts don't matter. What says you of the pair of yea doing over 23k zaps each?

Yea I don’t believe any of the totals for those of us who were here those first few months after zaps were created. You won’t really see as much of that stuff now though, so maybe more recent zap stats are a bit more reliable. Still doesn’t account for self-zapping from another npub though, which some people do. It also doesn’t account for private/anonymous zaps. And it doesn’t reflect relative purchasing power of zaps over time. A 10k sat zap in 2023 was cool, but was only a couple of bucks.
