Is anyone using nunchuk for multi-sig? What's your setup / quorum? Should a nerd just use Sparrow?
Discussion
Yeah its my main “checking” wallet. I use tapsigner + phone key + coldcard q 2/3
That's cool, you use it on your phone and being along the tap signer if you need?
Yeah i have a tapsigner in my wallet and phone key. I don’t like bringing my hww when travelling so i use my tapsigner and phone to make txs
That's a Gangster setup, I love it.
One last q: Is there anything to keep in mind for backing up the descriptor (is it called a "map" in nunchuk?)? Do you store them in same location as the hww's, multiple copies? In a cloud?
yeah its pretty awesome
Where's the opsec in all of this?
I’m pretty open book about my techniques. I value knowledge sharing over my personal opsec because I want other people to have better setups.
How do you handle the descriptors?
not sure what you mean by handle, but I exported them from nunchuk and loaded them into bitcoin-core to monitor onchain activity and to double check addresses
Afaik you should really make sure not to lose the descriptor otherwise you'll need to bring together all keys again? Wondering if that's what nunchuk calls the "map".
just as a test
2of3 with 2 Jades and 1 Electrum. Have to test with Sparrow, but I can't see counter-indications to replace with Sparrow. Don't forget to compile xpub in descriptor mode
Came for the answera to the nunchuck question; stayed for this little "only on nostr" gem of an interaction! 🤣

Yes. 2/3 or the 2/4 HoneyBadger plan is my preference.
I'm waiting for my nostr:npub1n3h6vcu0vj4jw70m8p457vk3uq44zz0jc5r6d09chtks6xxyu0gq9s2j0t Portal to arrive so I can try out a user-friendly setup for non-techsavy family and friends: 1x Portal, 2x TAPSIGNER
Will nailed it. Most flexible setup while remaining secure.
I'm still trying to set one up for use with one of my buddys, can't really figure out how to do that without one of us exposing our key to each other. creating a collaborative wallet through the DM function isn't working.
