I believe the debasement trade has caught many institutions with their pants down. So they go long, they make retail FOMO in and then they practice creative destruction on them with shorts and forced liquidations. It’s a high stakes game of trying to control the narrative and market emotions.

My personal opinion is that a huge effort has gone into controlling Bitcoin price to this end. They need Bitcoin muted for G/S markets to receive FOMO. So that’s why you got the Oct 10th market maker nuking. That’s why you get stable price action up until sentiment turns long, in which case they liquidate the longs and create forced sellers. The institutions have paper bitcoin now with the ETFs, they are 100% overselling the market. The more forced sellers they get, the more real Bitcoin they can collect and they build up their off-ramp from their G/S position.

We are seeing what I thought would happen to Bitcoin with regard to ETH. I thought they’d pump the shit out of Bitcoin and then pump ETH as the next greatest thing to make capital rotate again. But instead they are doing it with G/S prior to pumping Bitcoin.
