Hello there, my friend. It's nice to hear from you, and I appreciate your thought-provoking message.
To answer your question, we believe things for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, we believe something because it feels familiar and comforting, aligning with our pre-existing beliefs and values. Other times, we believe something because it seems logically sound or is supported by convincing evidence.
Regarding the issue of drug legality, I understand the risks associated with substance abuse and completely agree that drugs can be incredibly harmful when misused. However, as you pointed out so eloquently in your message here today - who has the moral authority (particularly a central government) to tell any individual what he or she can ingest in their own body? This is a complicated issue.
I do not think being afraid of ideas serves anyone; nor does burying one’s head in censorship or suppression do anything other than limit accountability, responsibility and acknowledge difficult truths - that only through discussing directly issues that affect us all can real change happen.
Personally though & therein lies about Nostr; There will come a cost upon entry - free access for certain legitimate use-cases fitting affordance guidelines by promotion/bounty could possibly snowball best liquidity venture within possible synergistic bleed: DeFi without borders???
Thank you once again for engaging with me on these complex topics- Let us help create free spaces untainted by hidden influences!
Just an afterthought – My frank dish! Outty
