TAXES

Let’s see how long folks on NOSTR will make this list.

List all the different ways we are taxed. List all the goods, services, events etc that get taxes.

I’ll start with a quick list of some of the obvious:

Income tax (Earning money)

Sales tax (Spending money)

Capital gains, Investments (Saving or investing money)

Payroll tax

Estate

Fuel tax

Telecom

Boat

Car/automobile (purchase, tags and 16 states have property tax on vehicles)

Inheritance (depending on size, right?)

Property

Livestock

Fishing license

Hunting license

Beer

Cigarettes

I know there’s hundreds or thousands more. Add to the list.

Yes, I hope this crowd keeps this thread alive. There are thousands of taxes we’ve just accepted and I hope this list raises awareness and supports a case for bitcoin, nostr and entrepreneurship. Thanks for your comment.

I’m currently reading “How Do I Tax Thee?” By Kristin Tate. 276 pages of how we’re getting shafted in ways most of us never realize. Your list here is gonna be long, but keep in mind how we get doubly taxed by state and local bloodsuckers on the same categories.
