I've been in New Zealand so long that when I see a date like 5/2/2024 on a US based website, it takes me quite a while to realise that this does not mean Febuary 5th.

This is normal. I even price bitcoin in washing machines. BTC is at about 122 washing machines presently.
Now I get it. Next time I am at the tailor I will apply the washing machine measurement system.
