Storage is expensive. You're getting storage, CDN delivery, and continual development with new features and user improvements being added. All for less than $4 a month.

its in the want category vs need. I'm not asking for a free ride but i dont see the value to me yet.

Depends on how much you use Nostr.

Being able to organize all your images and videos into folders and link them again in later posts is nice.
