The only bands I would pay to see live at this point in my life are Tool and Sigur Ros. Seriously can’t think of any others. Maybe Blink-182, but that’s a big maybe.

I know a musician whose friend dated Jonsi.
No way! That dudes voice is one of the best instruments I’ve ever heard.
Agree, Jónsi’s voice is beautiful and soothing. His falsetto is amazing!
I have a LOT of musician friends and know lot of musicians/bands.
A Musician that I hung out with at a Brooklyn restaurant/bar told me re Jónsi and his friend, also a musician.
Guy was in a Brooklyn band and lead singer sounded like Bjork; a Berklee College of Music grads.
Sigur Ros is AMAZING!! I’ve seen them multiple times in multiple cities. Been into them when most Americans had never heard of them.
Have you seen them play live?
No. Unfortunately. I was going to try and go when they were at red rocks but just didn’t work out. I got () when I was in college and was blown away. I’ve heard their concerts are amazing.
That’s too bad. But yes, their concerts are utterly AMAZING!
The first time I saw Sigur Ros was with a musician guy friend (and his friend), and it had been sold out. I didn’t have a tix but then by sheer luck and kindness, got to see them for free! It was like a mind-blowing beautiful experience. Venue also had fantastic acoustics.
DEFINITELY try to go see them on their next tour!! You will LOVE it!
Múm, Agent Fresco and Ásgeir are also great Icelandic bands. (I’ve hung out with one of them after their show cuz a friend in SF knew them and got us connected. Lovely and interesting lads!)
