Goal: a Ā£50 to Ā£180 phone that performs well, lasts a few years, and can run LineageOS + microG reliably.

Iā€™m aiming for that sweet spot of privacy, freedom, and practicality, not a brick that breaks Revolut or Mastodon.

After reading docs and the LineageOS device list, my shortlist looks like this:

šŸ“± Google Pixel 4a ā€“ best balance of price, performance, and support

šŸ“± Google Pixel 5 ā€“ a bit pricier but solid

šŸ“± Sony Xperia 10 II ā€“ strong fallback option
