Why abandon the biggest (relatively) free speech platform in the world?

That is just stupid.

Nostr obviously is not a viable alternative(and I’ve been here everyday for 10 months).

Because they stress you enormously if you try to connect via VPN.

I understand Elmo's fight against bots, but its so annoying.

Ah yea and zaps.

Because Twitter is not a free speech platform.

Platforms will never be able to provide truly free speech because their centralized nature is an easy target for government censorship.

Only decentralized protocols like Nostr can provide a truly free forum.

It is definitely a relative freedom of speech platform. Nostr is more free, but WHAT does that matter when the REACH is about ZERO.

Without X and Rumble, we are definitely fucked. Nostr means nothing in this perspective. It’s a circle jerk.

Completely disagree.

That's like saying Bitcoin is a circle jerk in 2012 or 2013. Now look at it.

Nostr will continue to onboard people who are banned from centralized platforms.

And if we need it, Nostr will allow us to communicate when all other options are forbidden.

The problems in the world are much too severe to wait for Nostr to evolve for 12 more years. And as you can see, I am here on Nostr too, by the way, because I see that is has POTENTIAL for greatness in it. But right now it is completely insignificant.

Dude you've been here 10 months but aren't verified?? 🤣😂 okay BOT

What? How do you get ”verified”? And why should I want to? Because of people like you? No Thanks.

Verify organic matter

It's kind of the whole point. Your npub is not the way to find people ideally. It's like an IPV6 address or something.

Imagine a world where you can have 1 or many aliases pointed to one or many npubs. Then you could have a work application tied into Nostr. Nostr is not an app, it's more like a protocol.

Oh now I get it. It is the WHOLE POINT. How STUPID I must be! And it’s a PROTOCOL, NOT an APP!

Thanks a lot for that dr Feynman.

I don't abandon platforms like #Twitter #X. I just get blocked or banned on a regular basis. So I focus my efforts on platforms like Nostr.

It's just common sense. I'm not after fame or notoriety. I just want to hear what other people really think and have my say too.

Without some #fucking know-it-all middle-man deciding what I or You! should have the right to say or hear..🤔

Fair enough

As a non-Twitter user, I find this obvious display of addiction amusing

Oh. What an interesting view point!

I’ll write it down in my little note book. 📕

Just because you can say words doesn’t make it “free” speech. People get banned all the time from it.. idk seems like cope
