Could you fix the broken watch on my perfectly good strap? It's a self-winding one that has been in pieces for 20 years.

Possibly. I would need to acquire or make really small tools for that. Given enough time, yes, I could.
But my current watch was $6 and came with a strap large enough for my thick wrists and also keeps decent enough time so I'm very pleased with it since I missed having a watch.
