Fucking right. You basically have no property in the modern world. It's all an illusion.

Sadly true…but so many still haven’t a clue.
I've been coming to the conclusion that my (all) property is "rented." By the time you add in zoning restrictions and pay property taxes every year. That needs to stop. I was talking with someone the other day and they said property taxes were declared unconstitutional in my state (Ohio), yet they still collect them! How long would the average person last without the local Sheriff showing up to arrest them if they defied a ruling? I could really use the money they charge in taxes!
I have no issue with voluntary funding of police. Property taxes are rent though. I don't know how else to look at it. I miss my apartment rent, I get evicted. You miss your property tax payments, you eventually get evicted. And probably still owe the bank something if you have a loan. I've seen stories of retired people being priced out of their homes by property taxes. Just because the area happened to become popular. It's disgusting.
I don't want paid law enforcement. Voluntarily funded keepers of the peace? I'm down with that.
Lol it's an awful enough job being paid. If anything, the pay and standards should increase. You ever seen a voluntary ems service vs a well funded one with high standards? Big difference.
I've seen both. Both can be very good. (I have family friends that are first responders on each side of that spectrum.)
You shoot the sheriff and anyone else coming onto your property to take you away from it.
This requires you to be able to hole up for extended periods of time, a VERY good lawyer or three, and willpower.
