Framed #556 (I did see it. I think films in the 1980s generally had smaller horizons. Maybe more attainable, realistic, horizons. Uncle Buck is a brilliant screenplay*. Red Dawn bucks the trend but essentially the goal of most 1980s films is a comfortable, happy life, with fine sinuses. Even after beating the Emperor or something.)
