I used pipewire to find and rip from yt. Then, I save in a ratio under 25mb. Then, uploaded via Amethyst. Normally, I'd just use my blossom or voidcat servers, but I'm on mobile, today. I did it so we all can just use nostr, instead of a link that takes us back to yt.

We have to kill corporate social media by making them obsolete.

Excellent. I’ll have to try this later

Pro tip: slow encoding in VP9/AV1 and Opus can make fucking anything short of a feature film fit in a 25MB webm.

I'll see if newpipe will let me encode to webm. πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ”₯

you don't use yt-dlp ?

Normally, I do but I did everything from my phone, today.

There is a pretty good open source ffmpeg GUI app for Android too, can't remember the name but should be searchable

I forgot to mention picking the right output resolution is also important for fitting a 25MB limit

The resolution part, I got. I'll have to take a look for that ffmpeg app. I don't intend to make it a regular to edit on my phone πŸ˜‚
