I'm not as familiar with Krav Maga so I can't comment too much about it.

I know from my own experience BJJ will give you all the tools you need for when a fight goes to the ground. Muay Thai is perfect for stand up self defense.

Both styles are proven, practical and complement each other nicely.

krac maga is a fun complement to martial arts training, but you don’t really go live or spar, so you don’t learn the fighting part of fighting. controlled breathing, adrenaline dumps, even avoiding strikes and coming back from compromised positions.

if you have the chance I recommend training bjj, and complementing that with a good muay thai coach. you’d then probably move to mma and wrestling and off to the races
