My two cents. During the Midwest black out in 2003 this technology would have thrived. I worked in a level 1 trauma center and every day was chaos. No atms, no cell service, spoiled food, no way to refrigerate anything including important medications, surgeries in the dark, no ac, and people fighting over power strips to charge phones. It was Mad Max thunderdome every day. No credit cards, debit purchases and cash was king. It went from inconvenience to apocalypse quickly.
