Newbies scared away is a recurring problem. Requested setting up monitoring of retention.

#[2]​ asking for non-bitcoin non-nostr profiles is *not* anti-bitcoin.

Idea is a mix of suggested profiles, including those you, and I follow, which are heavy btc x nostr.

Discoverability, and onboarding remain a pain point. Showing the user choice and variety on a platform, which enables ⚡️ seamlessly helps move towards the goal of bringing in folks who may not be interested otherwise in btc.

Case in point. If this is not somehow solved, this here will remain a niche network.

If you compare the new arrivals feed here to BlueSky for example it literally is like night and day.

My intro to Bluesky when I signed up was a bunch of people yelling about nazis and demanding that some user be banned from the app. Definitely night and day compared to Nostr.

This makes me glad I didn’t. I’d like to enjoy Twitter but it makes me anxious and annoyed every time. It seems like my efforts to carefully curate my feed are largely ignored by the algorithm. So many DM too, why? Do I know you?
